Learn arabic
Learning arabic is NOT as difficult as I previously thought. But it need a lot of istiqamah and effort. The hodayah is from Allah. And the reward is from Allah alone.

A new semester begin
A new semester, a new batch of students.
As always, fresh students tend to look at University life through tinted glasses. All rosy, however, the outside world is changing as faster than before. What they learn in the next 3 years probably become obsolete before they enter the workplace.
However, the foundation remains; computer science, programming, database and critical thinking.

1/2 year gone
1/2 has gone. I need to keep in stock what I have done. Review is the process of seeing what has been done, and how to improve for the future.

migration
FTSM mendapat bangunan baru. Sekarang timbul isu nak migrate ke blok baru atau tidak.
Seperti biasa, migration, or in bigger picture, changes require courages and trepidations. By migration, you are moving to a new place that would be your workplace for the next 10-15 years, and that would effect your productivity.
Staying the status quo also has benefits: familiar surrounding, no packing, etc.
migration offer a new place, fresh perspective, new challenges, etc.
what would you do?

Antara puasa dan hari raya
As we get older, we realise the difference in puasa and raya. It seems that most people are concern MORE with raya ( buy new cloth, new lansir, new perabot, etc) but LESS with puasa.
Should we focus more on puasa ( more quran, more sedekah, more sembahyang jemaah, more good deed, etc)
I was told that the celebration of eid in the middle-east is simple and brief, compare to Malaysia where we celebrate eid for one whole month!

life changes
life and changes is synonymous, one cannot go on without the other.
We must try to changes, adapt, improve. without any improvement, we would rot easily. changes take courage, and courage take determination.
sehari selebar benar
lama-lama menjadi kain
sehari selebar kuku
laman-lama menjadi buku
sehari sepatah ayat
lama-lama menjadi jurnal

A has been a while...........
It has been a while. Not much been happening, except chaos and mayhem from my 6 children. Imagine 4 of your kids going to primary school, you know the chaos and not to forget the cost, which includes books, cloth, fees.
After a while, everyday becomes a routine. wakeup - send kids to school - go to work - pick up kids - take a nap - dinner - homeworks - sleep.
But having 6 kids is never boring, or routine. There is always something news they show or learn or just freak you out.

House renovation
House renovation may seem trivial and non-event thing.
However, if you look deeper into the effect and impacts of house renovation, you may discover certain things about yourself.
- House renovation involves changes, and changes something is good. To see the same old colour in the living room day in day out would eventually bored you. But, a new scenario or clour may bring back the zest and life into you
- Renovation involves changes of structure. How much of the original structures you would like to preserve and how much you would like to changes? Again, changes is good. The old maxim of 'if it is not broken, don't fix it' doesn't work for me.
- Money issues. You normally start small, but as your new house renovate, suddenly you have the urge to add this and that. resist that, stick with the original plan but with minor changes.

rebooting and changes
The only thing that is certain in life is changes. One must embrace changes, not fear them. The fear of stepping out of the comfort zone is huge, but not accepting changes will eventually cause failures. Be ready of anything.
Life bring a lot of junk, both in memory and burdens. In order to start over, we need to reboot. Just throw out everything that has the least importance, and start fresh. With clean slate, and clear goals and directions. What past is past.

Sambut raya
Raya has come and gone. I do observes that raya has becoming more of a celebration away from the true meaning of Islam. For instance, peopel seem to be happy to celebrate raya, with all preparations and spending a lot of money.
Do they spend the same amount of money to welcome ramadan, where all the blessing is? It is not raya that is important, but the ramadan. I believe people tend to forget the real purpose of ramadan and puasa.
For example, you spend RM500 for cloth, lansir and kuih raya. Do you spend that much for sedekah, majlis buka puasa, derm anak yatim, etc.
